Our opinion

 

Embracing the theme of reflections of light on the water beloved by impressionist masters such as Monet and Caillebotte, this stunning original oil on canvass has been executed with rapid touches and rich impasto textures. Whilst we sadly could not identify the artist from the monogram at the lower left of the canvass, this painter was clearly extremely experienced and talented. This painting, of great quality, would deserve further research.
